CORINNA – Nettie M. Thompson, 85, died unexpectedly March 13, 2009, at a Bangor hospital. She was born March 21, 1923, in Brewer, the daughter of Earl and Vesta (Giles) Morey. She attended Exeter schools and had been an employee of Eastland Woolen, Corinna. Nettie greatly enjoyed sewing, reading and playing games. She is survived by two sons, Keith Thompson and his wife, Betty, of Portland and Stephen Thompson of Corinna; her daughters, Coralyn Levasseur of Millinocket, Jolene Colbath of Corinna and a special daughter, Beth Thompson of Portland; 15 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lillian Saunders of Corinna and Beverly Grant of Tolland, Conn.; and a special sister-in-law, Louise Morey of Millinocket. Nettie was predeceased by a son, Ralph Earl Thompson. Graveside memorial services will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter, in the spring. Cremation arrangements are by Thompson Funeral Home, 30 St. Albans Road, Corinna.
