WILDWOOD, Fla. – Murray Arthur Duncan, 84, loving husband, father, son, brother and friend, left us March 15, 2009, in Leesburg, Fla. He was born April 10, 1924, in Washburn, to the late William L. Jr. and Lillie May Cumming Duncan. Murray had retired from farming and with his wife, Joyce, had moved to Wildwood, Fla., where they enjoyed their retirement for many years. He was a member of Coleman United Methodist Church. Murray was predeceased by his wife, Z. Joyce Bartley Duncan; his granddaughter, Jenny Duncan; brother, Wilmont; and sisters, Muriel and Helen. He is survived by his loving children, Lucinda Mischler and Raymond David Jr., Jason Duncan and Gloria, Todd Duncan, Kandis Dye and Tom, and Trent Duncan and Deena; grandchildren, Duncan Mischler and Paula, Devon Mischler, Amy LeMothe and Chip, Emily Carter and Chad, Joel Duncan and Anne, Megan Rosario and Xavier, Brad McIntosh, Erica Duncan, Cameron Duncan and Ashton Duncan; six great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Laura Duncan, Prudence Gray, Irene Tweedie, Donna Carter and Winston, Dolores Beals and Phil, Sharon Madore, Brenda and Raymond Saucier, and Ann Bartley; brothers-in-law, Cary Bartley and Judy, Raymond Bartley and Janet, and Wayne and Shirley Porter; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The family extends a sincere thank you to all Murray’s friends; caretakers at Arbor Village, Wildwood, Fla.; and the doctors and nurses at Leesburg Hospital for their kind and generous care. No funeral service is planned. The family will gather to jointly honor Murray and Joyce in a private celebration of their lives.
