BANCROFT – Lois M. Harvey, 76, wife of the late Harlan Harvey and mother of the late Nelson McCormack, passed away March 21, 2009, in Lincoln, at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Beth Harvey. She was born Dec. 31, 1932, in Wytopitlock, the daughter of Nelson and Sylvia (Brawn) McCormack. Lois attended Wytopitlock Baptist Church, was an honorary member of Wytopitlock Fish and Game Club, and was a member of the Alpha-Lyra Club. She worked as a nurse’s aide at Workman Hospital, Lincoln. She also worked at Forster Manufacturing, Mattawamkeag, and retired from there in 1991 after 20-plus years. Lois loved spending time at her camp on Junior Lake and was happiest when her children and grandchildren were there too. She is survived by three sons, Frank and Cheryl Harvey of Largo, Fla., James and Shauna Harvey of Wytopitlock and Scott and Beth Harvey of Lincoln; a daughter-in-law, Sharon McCormack of Wytopitlock; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Frank McCormack of Alton and Earl and Evelyn McCormack of East Millinocket; many nieces, nephews and friends; and her cat, Missy.
