GLENBURN – Deloris “Dollie” Arnold, 75, passed away March 21, 2009, at a Bangor health care facility. She was born Nov. 22, 1933, in Ohio, the daughter of Raymond and Ella Mae (Yont) Price. Dollie was fortunate to have had not one, but two wonderful husbands, Roy C. Moore Jr. and Paul A. Arnold. She grew up in Ohio, but came to Maine in 1939. Working for Forster Manufacturing Co., Inc., Mattawamkeag, she first worked in the mill and later when she received her GED, she became a secretary in the office. She worked for the U.S. Census Bureau for three years, retired from there, and later worked at the Pan Am Call Center, Mattawamkeag, retiring from there. After Paul’s death, March 28, 2004, she moved to Presque Isle with her daughter, Mary Lou. Mary Lou and Dollie moved to Glenburn in 2004, to be closer to her beloved grandchildren, Shawna Moore Dill and Anthony Moore. In addition to her daughter, Mary Lou Moore of Glenburn, she is survived by five grandchildren and their families, Shawna and Joe Dill, Anaraivyn Smith-Dill, Azrielle, Aidan, Riley and Leandra Dill; Anthony Moore and Carla Smith, Jeffrey Smith, Brock and Cole Smith-Moore; Jay and Penny Arnold, Ryan and Ashley Arnold, Darcy Arnold and Tina Barrios and Tasha Barrios; and Alison and Bob Butler; her “adopted” daughter, Gloria Jordan and Ron of Kenduskeag; two brothers, Charles Price and Richard Price and Dot Stull, all of Pennsylvania; a sister, Joan and Alan Anderson of Ohio; many nieces, nephews and great-nephews. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Raymond Moore; as well as several siblings. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln.
