VAN BUREN – Cecile G. Violette, 88, died May 15, 2009, at a Van Buren health care facility. She was born March 30, 1921, in Van Buren, the daughter of Fred and Catherine (Martin) Violette. She is survived by one daughter, Norma Sawyer of Winterport; two brothers, George Violette of Van Buren and Robert Violette of Hamlin; two sisters, Eva Nunley and Shirley Violette, both of Van Buren and Aline Deese of Fruitdale, Ala.; two granddaughters, Kimberly Barnes and Deanna Wade; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a grandson, Kirk Buckley; three brothers, Omer, Nelson and Alfred Violette; and by four sisters, Giberte Pasko, Rita Bergen, Jeannette Lint and Freda Cyr. There will be no calling hours. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
