MILTON, N.H. – James “Jimmy” Eric Bartlett, 61, of 184 Governors Road, died Saturday, May 16, 2009, at Wentworth Douglass Hospital, Dover, N.H. Jimmy lost his three-year battle with cancer with his loving family by side. He was a devoted husband, father and son. Born Aug. 10, 1947, in Dover, N.H., he was the son of John H. and Kathleen N. (Malone) Bartlett. He was a graduate of Dover High School. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves Engineering Co., Rochester, N.H. After working for several years at Davidson Rubber Co., Jimmy left to own and operate his own sawmill. He was self-employed and a proud sawyer for more than 25 years. He was a 26-year member of Lodge of Elks and a member of the American Legion. Members of his family include his wife of 40 years, Kathyrn A. (Harding) Bartlett of Milton, N.H.; his two daughters, Carrie Ann Bartlett of Middleton, N.H., and Christie Leigh Bartlett of Milton, N.H.; his mother, Kathleen N. Bartlett of Center Strafford, N.H.; his brother, John H. Bartlett Jr. and wife, Erma, of Washington; his sister, Mary Ellen Seymour and husband, Harold, of Center Strafford, N.H.; his soon-to-be granddaughter, Jaymee Leighann Bartlett; and his godson, Aaron James Napolitano of Dover, N.H. He was predeceased by his father, John H. Bartlett Sr. Calling hours will be held 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, at R. M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main St., Rochester, N.H., where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, May 21, in the chapel. Burial will be after at Center Strafford Cemetery, Route 126, Center Strafford, N.H.
