BANGOR – Michael G. Clifford, 56, died unexpectedly May 20, 2009, due to heart complications. He was born Jan. 1, 1953, in Anchorage, Alaska, the son of William J. and Catherine (Chapman) Clifford Sr. At the time of his death, he was employed with Acadia Hospital. Michael was small in stature with a big heart who loved his family and friends. He was an avid reader and he enjoyed fishing. Michael was predeceased by his parents; and a brother, Danny. Surviving are two daughters, Ashley Wozneak and Amanda Clifford; two brothers, William and his wife, Margaret, and John and his wife, Donna; two sisters, Cathy and Mary and her husband, Richard; several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to call 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where a service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Robert T. Carlson officiating. Interment will be at Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery. Gifts in memory of Michael may be sent to Bangor Area Homeless Shelter, 263 Main St., Bangor, ME 04401.
