PRESQUE ISLE – Dale T. McLaughlin, 43, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2009, at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born July 28, 1965, in Presque Isle, son of Eugene and Rosalie (Sickles) McLaughlin Sr. Dale was a graduate of Nokomis High School and was an avid reader. Dale was a very special person who never complained and loved his family and friends through it all. He is survived by his father, Eugene Sr. of Presque Isle; a son, Brian McLaughlin of Bangor; eight siblings, Marion Gartley and her husband, Henry, of Houlton, Jolene Lunney of Bangor, Eugene McLaughlin Jr. and his wife, Sandra, of Presque Isle, Gregory P. McLaughlin of Presque Isle, Kevin McLaughlin and his wife, Dawn, of Hinesville, Ga., Valerie Orr and her husband, Gary, of Presque Isle, Jeffery McLaughlin and his wife, Norma, of Presque Isle and Christopher McLaughlin and his wife, Valerie, of Plymouth; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Rosalie McLaughlin. A special thank you to his sister, Valerie; his father, Eugene; and a special niece, Sarah, for taking such good care of him. A graveside service will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, at Fairmount Cemetery with the Rev. George McLaughlin officiating.
