PEMBROKE – Muriel Joyce (Frost) Lingley, 80, passed away May 19, 2009, at Eastport Memorial Nursing Home. Muriel was born March 26, 1929, in Pembroke. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to laugh and her smile lit up the lives of everyone fortunate enough to have known her. When not at home making a home for her family, Muriel worked at local businesses, such as Sunset Packing Co., Pembroke; the local fish factory in Eastport; and Passamaquoddy Digital, Pleasant Point. Muriel was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Malcolm “Macky” Lingley; her father, Lee Frost; her mother, Alice Frost; her daughter, Doreen Lingley; sisters, Dorothy and Barbara; brothers, Elliott, Keith and Carlton; and granddaughter, Dannielle Curtis. Muriel is survived by two sisters, Virginia Lingley and Lorraine Gillespie; her children, Barry Lingley, Christine Curtis, Dale Lingley and Darlene Lingley; grandchildren Jennifer, Jamie, Robert, Christian, Michael, Gwen, Britney, David, Brian and Dylan; as well as 15 great-grandchildren. An informal graveside service for friends and family will be held 2 p.m. May 31 at Clarkside Cemetery with Michael Curtis, presiding.
