MOORE, S.C. – David Harold Gendreau, 60, beloved husband of Linda Michaud Gendreau for 39 years, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, May 22, 2009. David was born in Madawaska, a son of the late Aurele and Irma Gendreau. He lived in St. Agatha for many years, served in the Maine National Guard and moved to Greenville, S.C., where he graduated from Bob Jones University. He was a master carpenter, an ordained minister and a faithful member of Roebuck Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Amy and Richard Streeter of Greenville, S.C., and Charise and Jeremy Watkins of Marietta, Ga.; son, Adam and Kim Gendreau of Simpsonville, S.C.; and his eight grandchildren, who lovingly called him “Pepere.” He is also survived by his five sisters, Joan Caron, Joyce Plourde and Pat Bourgoin, all of Maine, Greta Cyr of Connecticut and Gail Huber of North Carolina. He was predeceased by a brother Mark, Gendreau. A celebration of David’s life was held 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, at Roebuck Baptist Church, 1979 East Blackstock Road, Roebuck, S.C. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Roebuck Baptist Church.
