PRESQUE ISLE – Mary A. Shaw, 79, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at a Van Buren health care facility. She was born Feb. 6, 1930, in Castle Hill, the daughter of Philip and Nora (Brown) Joe Sr. Mary volunteered at many places including Aroostook Area on Aging, as well as Martha and Mary’s Soup Kitchen. She was an elder of the Aroostook Band of MicMacs and held many offices there. She was a longtime member of Church of Jesus. She is survived by two daughters, Roxanne Jenkins and Noraleen Easler and her husband, Dwain, all of Perham; three grandchildren, Clay Fuller, Amy Fuller and Jeanie Belyea; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Barbara Cieslinski of Wisconsin; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Daniel Shaw; a brother, Philip Joe Jr.; and a sister, Annis Jackson. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Saturday, June 6, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, where funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Earl Durost officiating.
