ADDISON – Warren W. “Ikey” Dorr III, 56, died Saturday, June 6, 2009, while doing what he loved, driving a stock car around the track at Speedway 95. Ikey was born Oct. 14, 1952, in Damariscotta, to Gladys and Warren Dorr Jr. He was raised in Wiscasset until the family moved Downeast in 1960 to start their worm business. Ikey, above all else, was a great, loving dad. He was an all around fun guy, natural comedian and the ultimate instigator. Ikey held several jobs throughout his life. First and foremost, was digging worms. He also dug clams, worked construction, and worked on urchin, quahog and scallop draggers. In his free time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, auto racing, snowmobiling, dancing, food fights and holidays, especially Christmas. He was also a member of Narraguagus Snowmobile Club. Ikey is survived by his mother, Gladys of Addison; three children, Krystal, Warren W. “Ren” Dorr IV and Ethan Dorr, and their mother, Stacey; companion, Monica West; sister, Debi Murphy and her husband, Mike; two nieces, Andrea Joyce and Jennifer Murphy; special great-niece and great-nephew, Kylee and Kameron Joyce; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Ikey is also survived by numerous friends, too many to name. He was predeceased by his dad; paternal grandparents, Warren Dorr Sr. and Helen; maternal grandparents, Otis and Evelyn Carver; several aunts and uncles. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, at Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home, Milbridge. A funeral service will be held 4 p.m. Thursday, June 11, in the Lewis B. Lovejoy gymnasium at D.W. Merritt School, Addison. Interment will be afterward at Church Hill Cemetery. Donations in memory of Ikey may be made to the National Heart Association. www.bragdonkelley.com
