BREWER – David Eugene Adams, 69, a resident of Brewer, died June 9, 2009, at a Bangor health care center surrounded by his family. He was born July 5, 1939, in Dexter, son of Amos LeRoy Adams and Alma Mary (Folsom) Adams. David graduated from Dexter High School in 1957. After high school, he was employed at The Arsenal, Waltham, Mass. Later, he opened a Taylor Rental franchise in Roxbury, Mass. After returning to Maine in 1972, he opened Taylor Rental Center, Brewer. David was a member of Brewer Kiwanis Club and Brewer Economic Development Council. He enjoyed golfing, traveling, snowmobiling and motorcycling. He is survived by his two sons, Scott and his wife, Nina, of Eddington, John and April of New Bern, N.C.; four grandchildren, David, Catherine, Nicholas and Sarah; one great-granddaughter, Emily; a sister, Sylvia Davis and her husband, Bob, of North Waterboro; and several cousins. He was predeceased by his parents; and older brother, John. Relatives and friends are welcome to call 6-8 p.m. Monday, June 15, at Brookings-Smith, Clark-Piper Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer, where a memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 16, with the Rev.
