HERMON – Lloyd Kimball Overlock, 87, died peacefully June 15, 2009, at his home. He was born April 27, 1922, in Hermon, son of Nelson Wood and Lena Roberta (Kimball) Overlock. Lloyd was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and retired from the Bangor and Aroostook Railroad after many years of faithful service. Lloyd loved to work on cars and do handy work, plus fishing, gardening and going on long rides with his dog, Sammi. In addition to his loving wife of 61 years, Avis, he was predeceased by his parents; and three sisters, Ruth Fessenden, Elinor Stevens and Vera Ross. He will be greatly missed by his very special nephew, Richard R. King of Hermon; a very special niece, Roberta M. York of Millinocket; a special great-niece, Lesli Lowe of Winterport; a brother, Clair Overlock and his wife, Betty, of Brewer; one sister, Golda McLaughlin of Hermon; numerous other nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held noon Thursday, June 18, at Snow’s Corner Cemetery, Hermon, with the Rev. Garnett Chute, pastor of Hermon Baptist Church, officiating.
