CARIBOU – Bernice Rossignol, 65, died unexpectedly June 22, 2009, at her Caribou residence. She was born July 28, 1943, in Madawaska, daughter of Paul and Rosalie (Doucet) Rossignol. She was a graduate of Madawaska High School and was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Bernice was an avid puzzle maker and loved playing cards with her friends. She is survived by a brother, Claude Rossignol and his wife, Linda, of Ware, Mass.; two sisters, Jeanne Rossignol of Cumberland, R.I., and Pauline Goode of Presque Isle; a niece, Sandra Mitchell and her husband, Mike, of New Vineyard, and their daughter, Kirsten Northrup and her husband, Nathan, of Jefferson; and two nephews, Gerry Beaulieu of Woodland and Claude Goode of South Lake, Tahoe, Calif. She was predeceased by her longtime friend, Paul J. Rossignol; and a half sister, Marie Ange Parent. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, June 26, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with the Very Rev. Jean-Paul Labrie, pastor, officiating in a Mass of Christian burial.
