BUCKSPORT – Arthur G. Webster, 80, died Saturday, June 27, 2009, with his loving wife by his side, at his home. He was born Aug. 28, 1928, in Castine, the son of Emery and Mabel Webster. Arthur was an avid outdoorsman, he and Lurline enjoyed motorcycle riding on his Gold Wing and walking on the beach collecting sea glass at his cottage in Milbridge. He worked for 40 years and retired from St. Regis Paper Co., Bucksport. He is survived by his wife, Lurline (Wilbur) Webster; and dear friends, Terry and Sandra Foster of Bucksport, and Spencer and Marie Layton of Milbridge. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, at Riverview Cemetery, Route 15, Bucksport, with the Rev. Linda Smith officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Arthur’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society New England Division, Inc., One Bowdoin Mill Island, Suite 300, Topsham, ME 04086. Arrangements are under the direction of Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport.
