VAN BUREN – Gisele M. Picard, 72, died June 28, 2009, at Maine Veterans’ Home, Caribou. She was born Aug. 13, 1936, in St. Anne, New Brunswick, daughter of George and Rose (Boutot) Damboise. She is survived by her husband, Allen J. Picard of Caribou; one son, Robert Picard and his wife, Wanda, of Presque Isle; one daughter, Rachel Duplessis and her husband, Dean, of Van Buren; two brothers, Donald Damboise of Plainville, Conn., and Larry Damboise of Siegas, New Brunswick; six sisters, Estelle Valois of Montreal, Therese Raiche of Quebec, Hugette Michaud of Grand Falls, New Brunswick, Bernadette Kneeland of Bucksport, Francoise Cote of St. Anne, New Brunswick, and Carmen Allen of Rochester, N.Y.; and four grandchildren, Sam Picard, Ben Picard, Michael Picard and Nicole Duplessis. Relatives and friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and 1 p.m. until the time of service Thursday at Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 3 p.m. Thursday at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church with Father David Cote, celebrant. Committal service and interment will be at Grande Riviere Cemetery.
