MONSON – David R. Belanger, 58, died unexpectedly July 6, 2009, at his home. He was born June 5, 1951, in Waterville, the son of Gregoire and Mariette (Belanger) Belanger. He graduated high school in Connecticut before returning to the Oakland area, where he was a self-employed carpenter and contractor. He lived in the central Maine area for many years, moving to Monson more than 10 years ago. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed being in the woods, hunting and fishing. Surviving are two sons, Benjamin Belanger and wife, Michele, of Rome and Jonathan Belanger and fiancee, Betty, of Smithfield; three sisters, Linda Coon of Rhode Island, Marlene Larose of Connecticut and Diane Dennis of Wells; four grandchildren, Mason, Brody, Isabella and Gabriel; several nieces and nephews. There will be no funeral services. Friends are invited to visit 7-9 p.m. Friday, July 10, at Wheeler Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 26 Church St., Oakland.
