CALAIS – Daisy Elizabeth (Ingalls) Annis, 79, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, July 7, 2009, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Daisy was born June 7, 1930, in Grand Harbour, Grand Manan, New Brunswick, the daughter of Owen D. and Roberta (Wooster) Ingalls. Daisy was a well-known nurse in the Calais area. She loved her nursing career and got great joy from caring for anyone in need. Daisy was predeceased by her parents, three siblings; and her husband of nearly 40 years, Harold Annis. She is survived by two brothers, a sister, three daughters, five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and a longtime companion. Family and friends are invited to a graveside service 10 a.m. Friday, July 10, at Woodland Cemetery, Baileyville. A time of fellowship will be after at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, Calais.
