MARSHFIELD – It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Susan (Dolber) Getchell, who passed away Feb. 25, 2009, while surrounded by her loving family, after a short, courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis. A service of remembrance will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, July 11, at Centre Street Congregational Church, Centre Street, Machias. A time of refreshments will be after in the church vestry. Interment will be held 4:15 p.m. Saturday, July 11, at Getchell Cemetery, Marshfield. A service of Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home, Machias.
