BUCKSPORT – Dorothy A. Arnold, 95, died July 9, 2009, at a Bangor health care facility. She was born June 29, 1914, in Stockton Springs, the daughter of Edmund and Edith E. (Jackson) Littlefield. She graduated from Beverly Hospital (Beverly, Mass.) nursing program as a registered nurse. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Bucksport. Dot is survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, including special great-nephew, Patrick Corr of Glenburn, who was a great help to Dot; special friends, Robin Bray of Orland, Mark and Darlene Curtis of Bucksport; and friend, Sonny Doucette of Orland. The family also extends a special thank you to Scott Bridges of Bucksport for all of his help. She was predeceased by her parents; brother, Frank Littlefield; and husband, Clarence T. Arnold, Feb, 8, 1987. Visitation for family and friends will be held 3-5 p.m. Sunday, July 12, at Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Bucksport, with Father Bruce Siket, celebrant. Interment will be at St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery, Bucksport. Donations may be made in her memory to a charity of one’s choice.
