WINN – Louise A. (Twist) Gifford passed away July 11, 2009, at a Lincoln hospital. Louise was born Oct. 17, 1912, in Winn, the daughter of Percy and Sarah (Gordon) Twist. A beautiful and gracious lady, Louise wrote poetry and was a wonderful cook. She worked at Foster Manufacturing for years and assisted her husband in his logging business. She was predeceased by her husband of 71 years, Lawrence; her children, Larry and Patricia; brother, Roland; sister, Grace; and two special sons-in-law, Kenneth and Fletcher. Louise was the beloved mother of Alyce Butler and her husband, Robert, Jewell Marks and her husband, Ronald, and Mary Libbey and Jean Smith. Also left to cherish the memory of their Meme are grandchildren, Bobby Butler and Allison, Ann Coltart and Gary, Ellen Wrubleski and Gary, Jack Wrubleski and Elizabeth, Jamie Wrubleski and Joslyn, Jeff Marks and Danielle, Ken Libbey Jr. and Wendy, Wink Libbey and Leslie, Andy Libbey and Terry, Alan Smith and Joni, Scott Smith and Susan, Angie Linnell and Eric, and Andrea Lumbra and Stephen. Great-grandchildren are Shandy, Sherri, Amanda, Corey, Aaron, Katie, Victoria, Rebecca, Matthew, Jillian, Brodie, Mikkala, Cameron, Nikkolas, Brittany, Rebecca, Emma, Andrew and Abby. She had five great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Visiting hours will be held noon-2 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. with Pastor Leon Robinson officiating.
