LIMESTONE and ELLSWORTH – Paul James Taggett, 32, died unexpectedly July 11, 2009, in Ellsworth. He was born in Caribou, the son of Paul W. Taggett and Ruth (Hyde) McGowen. He graduated from Limestone schools and Job Corps, Ellsworth. He worked as a carpenter in the Ellsworth area for several years and the last four years he resided in Limestone. Paul was a caring and kind person. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and tinkering with old cars with his dad and friends. He also enjoyed playing guitar with his cousins, Steve and Joey. He loved to just hang out with friends. He is survived by his parents, Paul W. and Betty Taggett of Limestone and Ruth and Mark McGowen of Ellsworth; two sisters, Jamie Taggett of Ellsworth and Kelly Gendron of Naugatuck, Conn.; three stepsisters, Melissa Larrabe, Crystal McGowen and Tanya McGowen; two stepbrothers, Jason and Kristy Pelkey, and Jimmy and Christy Pelkey; several aunts, uncles and cousins; three nephews, Dustin and Branden Gendron of Naugatuck, Conn., and Tavian McGowen of Ellsworth; one niece, Sierra Sargent of Ellsworth. Paul married Theresa Applebee and had three stepdaughters, Amy, Norma and Erica. He will be sadly missed by family and friends; and his dear dog, Jake. There will be a memorial service 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 17, at Assembly of God, Limestone, with Pastor Robert Amuzzini Jr. officiating. Food and refreshments will be served immediately after downstairs in the church. Burial will take place at a later date at Webster Cemetery, Limestone.
