EASTBROOK – George E. Taylor III, 51, died July 22, 2009, in Waltham. He was born Feb. 17, 1958, in New Bedford, Mass., the son of George E. and Nancy (Haskell) Taylor Jr. He worked as a master carpenter for many years. He enjoyed car and motorcycle racing. He was a guitar player and luthier, an artist and a collector of antiques. George was an exceptionally caring friend and neighbor. He was loyal and generous to all. He is survived by his father, George E. Taylor Jr. and wife, Jayne, of North Carolina; mother, Nancy J. Crofoot and husband, Edward, of Northeast Harbor; partner, Jeannie Thurlow of Eastbrook; son, George E. Taylor IV of Ellsworth; daughters, Tara Taylor of Orland and Tonya Sullivan and her daughter, Tela, of New Hampshire; brother, Zachary Taylor of North Carolina; and sisters, Laura Resnick and husband, Howard, of North Carolina and Tammy Vredenburg and husband, Shawn, of Kansas.
