FORT FAIRFIELD – Mary Elizabeth Virginia “Ginny” (Van Buskirk) Morrow, wife of the late Martin S. Morrow, passed away Thursday evening, July 23, 2009, at a Caribou nursing facility, after an extended illness. She was born June 30, 1924, in Fort Fairfield, the daughter of Richard H. and Phoebe (Caron) Van Buskirk. She was a graduate of Fort Fairfield High School, Class of 1943, and married Martin S. Morrow, Aug. 7, 1950. She had been employed in the banking industry for many years, retiring from Key Bank, Fort Fairfield, as head teller in 1984. Mrs. Morrow was a lifelong communicant of St. Denis Catholic Church, Fort Fairfield and a former member of Daughters of Isabella, Santa Maria Circle No. 427, Fort Fairfield. She had also been a member of S.C.A.T. Seniors Club and past president of Fields Lane Sunshine Club, Fort Fairfield. Ginny greatly enjoyed crocheting, especially doilies for her family and friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Morrow was predeceased by her husband, Martin, July 2, 2006; and one sister, Beatrice Thibeau in 1998. She is survived by three sons, Jerry Morrow and Mary Ann Smith, both of Webberville, Mich., Dana Morrow of Fort Fairfield and Rhonda Rose of Caribou, and Wayne Morrow of Caribou; one daughter and son-in-law, Marie and Gerald Saccucci of Fort Fairfield; one sister and brother-in-law, Marguerite and Jerome Peters of Hamden; three grandchildren, Krystal Sweet and her husband, Ryan, of Howell, Mich., Kimberly Hitchcock and her husband, Darryl, of Caribou and Mark Saccucci and his wife, Christine, of Shepardstown, W.Va.; two great-grandchildren, Wesley Ethan Hitchcock of Caribou and Kody Ryan Sweet of Howell, Mich.; numerous nieces and nephews, including special nieces, Susan Thibeau Alday of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., Karen Thibeau Stewart of Prescott, Ariz., Ann Thibeau Ryan of Rockford, Mich., and Lorraine Thibeau Sanders of Upland, Calif. The Morrow family extends their heartfelt thank you to the staff of Leisure Village, Presque Isle; Elder Care of Aroostook and Caribou Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center for the wonderful care given to Virginia during her illness. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Sunday, July 26, at Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main St., Fort Fairfield, where a vigil service will be conducted 7:30 p.m. by the Rev. Jean-Paul Labrie. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday, July 27, at St. Denis Catholic Church, 147 Main St., Fort Fairfield, with the Rev. Jean-Paul Labrie, celebrant. The interment service will be held after the Mass at St. Denis Catholic Cemetery, Fort Fairfield. A time of continued fellowship with refreshments will be held after the interment service at VFW Paul Lockhart Post No. 6187, Presque Isle Street, Fort Fairfield.
