PASSADUMKEAG – Kenneth Howard Lord, 63, husband of Marie (Pelkey) Lord, died July 27, 2009, at a Bangor hospital, with his family by his side, after a brief illness. He was born Sept. 1, 1945, in Bangor, the son of Wallace and Muriel (Holland) Lord. Kenneth was a member of Howland Fire Department for 46 years. He loved hunting and fishing and was an avid outdoorsman. He will be sadly missed by his family, many friends and his pal, his dog, Buddy. In addition to his wife of 42 years, Marie of Passadumkeag, he is survived by a brother, Ed Lord and his girlfriend, Brenda McCown, of Edinburg; two sisters, Hazel Rubenison and her husband, Harvey, of Florida, and Brenda Hobbs of Lincoln; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Solomon Pelkey Sr., Juanita Ingalls, Betty Grant and Dolores Thatcher; several nieces and nephews; and a very special niece, Karen Bushey, who was always there for him. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Alan Porter officiating. There will be a gathering after the funeral at Howland Methodist Church. Interment will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Howland Cemetery.
