ORRINGTON and HOWLAND – Gregory John Hatch died Aug. 3, 2009, in Lincoln, after 82 years of being on God’s green Earth. He was born Jan. 31, 1927, in Brewer, the son of Harold W. and Margaret E. (McAuliffe) Hatch. Greg worked for Eastern Fine Paper for 44 years and made many friends and acquaintances throughout his life. He married his beloved Helen I. (Stewart), who predeceased him in 1989. Surviving are three children, John G. Hatch Jr. of Arizona, Jacqueline F. Barker of Holden and Jill M. Russell of Orrington; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles E. Hatch of Hermon; many nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by two sisters and eight brothers. Family and friends may visit 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 69 State St., Brewer, where a service in honor of his life will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 7, with the Rev. Robert T. Carlson, presiding. Private burial with military honors will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Brewer. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Manna Ministries, P.O.
