WATERVILLE – Isabelle “Izzy” Weston, 78, wife of the late Hubert D. Weston, died Aug. 3, 2009, at a Waterville nursing home. She was born Sept. 10, 1930, the daughter of Leslie P. Sr. and Lula I. (Hichborn) Lincoln. Isabelle was a devoted wife and mother, and especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family reunions were always very important to her. She also enjoyed gardening, reading, games, bird watching, knitting and DQ’s. Isabelle was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. She had worked for many years at Marden’s. She is survived by four daughters, Donna L. Emerson and husband, Jay, of Hudson, Joyce E. Whitaker and husband, Mike, of South China, Christine C. Weston of Waterville and Lynnette M. Sims and husband, John, of Vassalboro; three brothers, six sisters; 11 grandchildren, Christopher M. Weston, Hubert D. Weston, J.D. Emerson and wife, Kelly, Douglas J. Emerson, Michael R. Whitaker, Arthur R. Whitaker III and wife, Deb, Monica M. Whitaker, Craig A. Belanger, Hilary B. Robertson and husband, Doug, Jacinth A. Richardson and fiance, Zach Allard, and Thomas W. Sims; seven great-grandchildren, a brother-in-law, three sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons, Douglas G. Weston and Martin J. Weston; a brother, two sisters and three brothers-in-law. Isabelle’s family extends special thanks to the Oak Grove staff for their loving care while she was living there. Friends are invited to call 11 a.m. until the time of memorial service noon Thursday, Aug. 6, at Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft, with the Rev. Tim Hunt officiating.
