LIMESTONE and CASWELL – Guy L. Berube Sr., 87, beloved husband of Mrs. Juanita D. (Bell) Berube, passed away Tuesday evening, Aug. 4, 2009, at a Van Buren nursing facility, after an extended illness. He was born Aug. 14, 1921, in Caswell, the son of Ferdinand and Rose (Bouchard) Berube. He attended Caswell and Limestone schools and was married to Juanita D. Bell, Nov. 16, 1943. Guy was a communicant of St. Louis Catholic Church, Limestone. He had been employed as a truck driver, both for himself and others, including Weatherhead Potato Corp., Limestone and Fort Fairfield. Mr. Berube greatly enjoyed trucking, fishing and camping; however, his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Guy was predeceased by his daughter, Judy Ann Stoudt, Jan. 17, 2009; two brothers, Woodrow Sirois and James Berube; and one sister, Juliette Kelley. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mrs. Juanita D. Berube of Limestone; two sons, Guy L. “Terry” Berube Jr. and his wife, Christine, of Limestone and Patrick Berube and his companion, Shelly Hamilton, of Lisbon Falls; three daughters, Norma Lambrecht and her husband, Earl, of Limestone, Donna Bernier and her husband, Ulyesse, of Caswell and Katherine “Candy” West of Limestone; 10 grandchildren, Vicky Smith of Brewster, N.Y., Randy Berube of Londonderry, N.H., Christy Derrah of Steep Falls, Jaime Henderson, Amy Edgecomb, Jim West, all of Limestone, Michelle Colon of Columbus, Ga., Stacy Bernier of Caswell, Ian and Blake Berube, both of Lisbon Falls; six great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, at Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main St., Fort Fairfield, where a vigil service will be conducted 7:30 p.m. by the Rev. Jean-Paul Labrie. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at St. Louis Catholic Church – Parish of the Precious Blood, 100 Main St., Limestone, with the Rev. Jean-Paul Labrie, celebrant. The interment service will be held after the funeral Mass at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery, Limestone. A time of continued fellowship with refreshments will be held immediately after the interment service at St. Louis Catholic Church Parish Hall.
