EAST HAVEN, Conn., and DANFORTH – Natalie Irene (Carr) Mercer, formerly of Danforth, went to the Lord Monday, Aug. 10, 2009, after a courageous battle with cancer. Natalie was born Nov. 14, 1933, a beloved daughter of Bertha Carr, 98, and the late Perley Carr of Danforth. Natalie grew up in Maine and later moved to New Haven, Conn. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Richard Mercer in June 2005; and son, Mark Joseph Mercer in 1958. In addition to her mother, Bertha Carr of Danforth, she is survived by five children: daughter, Susan Carr Darveau and husband, Raymond Darveau, of East Millinocket, son, Paul Mercer of East Haven, Conn., daughter, Jo-Ann Denigres and husband, Victor, of Cape Coral, Fla., daughter, Cynthia Mont and children of Willimantic, Conn., and son, Michael Mercer Sr. and wife, Tata, of East Haven, Conn. She is also survived by one brother of Connecticut, three sisters of Maine, eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at later date.
