LIMESTONE – Linda M. Page, 69, passed away Friday, Aug. 14, 2009, at a Presque Isle hospital. She was born Oct. 7, 1939, in Fort Fairfield, the daughter of Harry and Maria (Getchell) Davidson. Linda worked as librarian for many years at the Robert Frost Memorial Library, Limestone, and served as an officer of Friends of the Robert Frost Memorial Library. She was also involved in many other civic organizations such as: director of Loring Development Authority, director for Nordic Heritage Ski Club, officer of Limestone Ski Club, officer of Limestone Alumni Association, a member of Friends of the Wildlife Refuge, Maine Preceptor Tau Sorority member, was voted along with her husband Norman, Limestone Citizen of the Year for 2001 and a communicant of St. Louis Catholic Church. Linda also loved traveling, square dancing and cross-country skiing, as well as other outdoor activities. In addition to her mother, Maria Davidson, she is survived by her husband of 50 years, Norman Page of Limestone; three children, Pamela Scheppele and her husband, Casey, of Caribou, Peter Page and a special friend, Leslie Achorn, of Limestone and Kenneth Page and his wife, Stephanie, of Lubec; three grandchildren, Sheena Page of Limestone, Megan Scheppele of Caribou and Emma Page of Lubec; and a sister, Sally McIntyre and her husband, Reg, of Presque Isle. She was predeceased by her father, Harry Davidson. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, at Lancaster-Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover St., Caribou. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 17, at St. Louis Catholic Church with the Rev. Aaron Damboise, celebrant. Interment will be after the service at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery, Limestone. A reception will be held after the committal at the church fellowship hall.
