EASTON – Robert McPherson or “Bob” as everyone knew him, died peacefully Aug. 17, 2009, at Presque Isle Nursing Home. He was born Feb. 19, 1939, in St. Francis, one of the many children of Hanford and Margueritte (Dubois) McPherson. He was predeceased by his wife, Deanna (Michaud) McPherson, whom he married Aug. 17, 1963; his daughter, Evette McPherson; grandson, Tyler Tardy; and two brothers, Leslie “Les” McPherson and Joseph “Mel” McPherson. He is survived by three of his four children, Roberta Rauen and husband, Mark, of North Carolina, Chris McPherson and wife, Rhonda, of Oakland, and Dean McPherson and wife, Teri, of Presque Isle; nine grandchildren, Jason Martin-Tardy, Harold “Hal” Tardy III, Mark SJ Beaton, Jessica Rauen, Eric Rauen, Dana Rauen, Colby McPherson, William McPherson and Logan Nicole McPherson; six brothers, Merle of Presque Isle, Raymond and Peter, both of Connecticut, Roy of Windham, Neal of South Carolina, and Herb of Portage Lake; three sisters, Doris Farnham of Massachusetts, Irene Bossie of Dixmont and Linda Rand of Fort Fairfield; many nieces and nephews. A graveside committal will be 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21, at Este’s Cemetery, Easton, with Pastor Matt Maxwell officiating. Family and friends are invited to join in a celebration of life 6 p.m. Aug. 21 at Fort Fairfield VFW, potluck dishes can be brought to the hall one hour prior.
