MADAWASKA – Ludovic “Vic” Leclerc, 90, died Aug. 21, 2009, at St. Joseph’s Nursing Home. He was born Feb. 8, 1919, in St. Rose, Quebec, the eldest son of Adelord Leclerc and Yvonne Dupont. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Alfreda Labrie Leclerc; his son, Michael Leclerc, who is married to Heather, and resides in Eddington; his son, Robert Leclerc, who is married to Maryann, and their daughter, Dominique, and resides in Brunswick; his son, Jacques Leclerc and his partner, Francisco, who reside in Los Angeles; his daughter, Lise Leclerc Foster, who is married to Paul, and their daughters, Danielle and Natalie, and resides in Scarborough; and his daughter, Lynn Leclerc Gierie, who is married to Robert, and their son, Robbie, and resides in Scarborough. Ludovic’s surviving siblings are Laureal Leclerc, Denis Leclerc, Ruth Leclerc, Leona Leclerc, Monette Leclerc Cyr, Alliette Leclerc, Zilfrid Leclerc and Mariette Leclerc Gagnon. He left home at age 12 to work on his uncle’s farm until he began working as a woodsman. He later worked at Fraser Paper and retired after 25 years of service. He will be remembered as loving cars, designing his own houses, dancing and making people laugh. He will be missed deeply. Visiting hours will be held 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 23, and 9-9:40 a.m. Monday, Aug. 24, at Daigle Funeral Home, Madawaska. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 24, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Madawaska.
