Should Democrats drop the public option, or is this an essential part of the effort? Should
they create a basic framework and plan to tweak it in subsequent sessions? Should
Democrats court Republican support, or instead try to incorporate Republican ideas and
be prepared to pass only party line votes? Or should the reform effort be shelved
altogether?
