BANGOR and MACHIAS – Lisa M. Campbell, 49, passed away peacefully Aug. 29, 2009, with her family by her side at a Bangor hospital, after a long battle with multiple sclerosis and heart disease. Campbell, both of Bangor, and their children; her brothers, James H. Rathburn of Monson, Peter A. Gatcomb of Corinna, Philip E. Gatcomb Jr. of Sangerville, Burton L. Gatcomb of Hartland and Jeffers S. Ashley of Bangor; and a sister, Phyllis E. Clark of Greenbush. She is also survived by two special nieces, Lorisa Morris of Cherryfield and Rochelle Cleaves of Bangor; many nieces and nephews, cousins, two aunts; and her feline companion, Buddy. The family thanks Corinth Family Medicine and Eastern Maine Medical Center, who always provided her with such wonderful care, as well as her church family that did so much for her. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Sept. 6 at First Apostolic Church of Brewer with Pastor David R. Smith officiating. Burial will be held 2 p.m. Sept. 8 at Coboro Cemetery, Stetson.
