LIMESTONE – Gertrude A. Franck, 72, passed away Friday, Sept. 11, 2009, at Cary Medical Center, Caribou. She was born Sept. 1, 1937, in Presque Isle, the daughter of Patrick and Annette (Daigle) Franck. Gertrude was a graduate of Limestone High School and worked at Converse Shoe, Presque Isle. She was a very kind and caring lady, who loved getting together with friends. She enjoyed doing plastic crafts, was an avid knitter, as well as cooking for church socials. Gertrude was a communicant of St. Louis Catholic Church, as well as a member of Ladies of St. Anne. She is survived by five brothers, Ronald and his wife, Marjorie, of Greenville, N.C., Camille of Limestone, Thomas and his wife, Georgette. of Rivere-du-loup, Quebec, Gerard and his wife, Phyllis, of Placerville, Calif., and Paul and his wife, Bernadette, of Santa Clarita, Calif.; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Geraldine Franck. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14, at Lancaster-Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover St., Caribou. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Louis Catholic Church with the Rev. Jean-Paul LaBrie, celebrant. Interment will take place at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery.
