OLD TOWN – Caroline Constance Kelley, 75, wife of the late Phillip J. Kelley, died Sept. 16, 2009, at a Bangor hospital after a brief illness. She was born June 4, 1934, in Lincoln, a daughter of Stanley and Pauline Barkowsky. Caroline, together with her husband, took old farmland on South Main Street and created Sunrise Mobile Home Park. She managed Sunrise for many years. Phil and Caroline enjoyed traveling to many parts of the world and all but five U.S. states. She loved gardening and her adopted wildlife. Family was an important and special part of her life, and she enjoyed the times spent with her daughter, Fran; and her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Fran St. Peter and her husband, Mike, of Old Town; son, Joe Kelley of Flagler Beach, Fla.; granddaughters, Gwen Cross and her husband, Brian, of Sarasota, Fla., Kim Copeland and her husband, Harry, of Long Island, N.Y., Chandra St. Peter and her companion, Frank Pike, of Windham, and Malorie St. Peter and her fiance, Ryan Parsons, of Mount Vernon; great-granddaughters, Olivia Cross, and Kelly and Sydney Copeland; daughter-in-law, Beverly Kelley of Stetson; sisters, Mary Scott and Betty Drake, both of Lincoln; and special niece, Rhonda Lyons. She was predeceased by her husband, Phillip J. Kelley, in 1999. A graveside service will be conducted 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 21, at St. Joseph Cemetery, Old Town.
