ST. ALBANS – Michael L. Cassidy, 50, died unexpectedly Sept. 17, 2009, at a Pittsfield hospital. Michael was born Dec. 15, 1958, in Hartland, the son of LeRoy A. and Annie (Bray) Cassidy. He was a graduate of Nokomis Regional High School, Class of 1977. Michael was employed at Maine Fence Co. and Dexter Shoe Co. as a cutter for 25 years. He always had a job. He could do almost anything from fixing cars to carpentry work to roofing. At the time of his death, he was a personal care attendant for Skills Inc. and loved taking the clients on special activities. Michael liked to restore old cars in his garage. He loved the outdoors, especially while hunting, fishing, mud racing, riding his four-wheeler and his snowmobile. He is survived by his parents, LeRoy and Annie Cassidy of St. Albans; one son, Ross Cassidy of St. Albans; one daughter and her husband, Jessica and Corey Robbins of Palmyra; one brother, Allan Roy Cassidy of St. Albans; three sisters, Anna Maria Cassidy of St. Albans, Renee L. Lee of Chelsea and Melissa A. Jackwin of St. Albans; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He will also be remembered by the mother of his children, Tammy Cassidy of Palmyra. Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, at Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Service Center, 34 High St., Newport. Graveside services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 21, at St. Albans Village Cemetery with Pastor Mike Robbins officiating. Friends who wish may make memorial donations to Skills Inc., P.O.
