BANGOR – Sarah L. Dill, 63, passed away Sept. 22, 2009, in the company of family at a Bangor hospital. She was born March 13, 1946, in Machias. Sarah grew up in Cutler with her loving parents and four sisters. She had an immense love of animals, family and the Lord. Sarah had a great love for horses. She enjoyed riding them and caring for them. She was also very fond of her cats, which she loved and treated like family. Sarah was a talented musician; she sang in a band and played the guitar. She recorded a CD with all her favorite songs, which she shared with family and friends. She found great peace in reading the Bible and spreading her knowledge and love of God, and was an impeccable example of living a Christian life. Sarah was a tall, beautiful woman who touched everyone’s heart with her loving generous nature always putting everyone else’s needs before her own. She offered unconditional love and support for those around her and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Sarah thankfully spent her last months happily at home with her family in the care of her son, Dallas and his fiancee, Shauna; and grandson, Blaze. She enjoyed watching TV, cuddling with two of her surviving cats, Snaggie and Maggie, and snuggling on the couch with her grandson who kept her smiling with pride. Sarah was loved by so many and will truly be missed. Her family takes great comfort in knowing that she is in peace and she sits with God in heaven. We know we will all be reunited with her in heaven with open arms again someday. Sarah was predeceased by her husband, Keith; and her parents, Clarence and Shirley Randall. Sarah is survived by her four sisters, Carolyn Kelley, Charlotte Wright, Bonnie Dorr and Lois Holmes; her son, Nick Calenda and his wife, Camille Calenda; her daughter, Sheri Hinman and her husband, Rick Hinman; her son, Dallas Quarles and his fiancee, Shauna Venturelli; and her grandchildren, Kiersten Hinman, Morgan Hinman, Brandon Hinman, Dawson Hinman and Blaze Quarles, all of whom she loved with all her heart and showered with her praise and affection. Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at Head of the River Baptist Church, Cutler. After the service, refreshments will be available during a time for fellowship and remembrance of Sarah.
