MADAWASKA – Theresa M. Cyr, 80, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009, at a Madawaska health care facility. She was born Oct. 21, 1929, in St. Joseph, New Brunswick, daughter of the late Antoine and Weeda (Bernier) Sirois. Theresa is survived by her loving husband, Edwin Cyr of Madawaska; two daughters, Patricia Cyr of St. Agatha, and Linda Blanchette and her husband, Dave, of Frenchville; nine grandchildren, Steven, Lee Ann, Tammy, Eric, Tracy, Sara, Erica, Crystal and Jamie; six great-grandchildren, Matthew, Lance, Sierra, Jacob, Emily and Antonio; two sisters, Jeannine Dumond of Madawaska and Jean Darc Musto of Rochester, N.Y.; one son-in-law, Richard Gervais of Madawaska; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one daughter, Ann Gervais; one son, Jim Cyr; and two brothers-in-law, Leo James Dumond and Tom Musto. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, at St. David Church. Friends and family may call 6-8 p.m. Monday and 8:30 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at Daigle Funeral Home. Interment will be at the parish cemetery.
