FALMOUTH, Mass. – Bonita ‘Bonnie’ B. Greenberg, died Sept. 23, 2009, surrounded by family, at Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Boston, after a short illness. She was born Bonita Gail Boone, Feb. 19, 1943, the daughter of Ronald and Lillian (Phinney) Boone Sr. of Lincoln. She was a graduate of Mattanawcook Academy and received a Bachelor of Nursing from University of Maine at Orono. She also attended Rutgers University in New Jersey and attained a degree in social work. In addition to her parents, Ronald and Lillian Boone of Lincoln, she is survived by her husband, Dr. Irwin Greenberg of Falmouth, Mass.; a stepdaughter, Jean Greenberg of Chicago; her brother, Ronald M. Boone Jr. of Auburn; and 21 nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her stepson, Mark Greenberg. Funeral services were held Friday, Sept. 25, at East Falmouth Jewish Congregation, 7 Hatchville Road, East Falmouth, Mass., with Rabbi Elias Lieberman officiating. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at United Methodist Church, 8 Lee St., Lincoln.
