ORONO – Tresa Stephanie (Zisk) Jacobs, 93, died Sept. 8, 2009, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Dec. 7, 1915, in Pueblo, Colo., the daughter of Leo and Stella (Kalata) Zisk. Tresa grew up on a fruit farm in Penrose, Colo., and later moved to Denver, where she was the owner and operator of Admiration Beauty Salon for more than 40 years. She is survived by daughter-in-law, Sally Cope Jacobs; nieces, Portia Bergman and Marna McNulty; grandchildren, Stephanie Lull, Jennifer Leech and Jefferson Jacobs; and great-grandchildren, Zachary Lull, Quincy Leech, Connor Leech and Rowan Jacobs. In addition to her parents, Tresa was predeceased by her husband, Maurice E. Jacobs; son, Prof. Richard M. Jacobs; brother, Chester Zisk; and sisters, Louise Fleetwood and Mary Beach. The family thanks the staff at Orono Commons and St. Joseph Hospital for all their care, kindness and support. Services will be private.
