CARMEL – Michael R. Lee, 61, passed away Oct. 8, 2009, at Roxbury (Mass.) VA Hospital. He was born March 22, 1948, in Bangor, the son of Roland and Dorothy (Gould) Lee. Michael proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He then worked as an oil burner technician with Webber Oil Co. for 18 years. Michael was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was the kind of person that could fix anything. Michael had the biggest heart, was a great father and brother, wonderful husband and grandfather, a friend to many and will be dearly missed. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his stepfather, Robert Sibley of Carmel; his loving wife of 40 years, Idris (Thibodeau) Lee of Carmel; children, Shad Lee and fiancEe, Karlee Bowers, of Carmel, and Renee Lee and companion, Nick Trzaskos, of Eddington; grandchildren, Devon, Macey, Owen and Marcus; two brothers, Robert Sibley and David Lee; two sisters, Susan Garland and Patty Lee; and many friends. Friends are invited to call noon-1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where a memorial service will begin 1 p.m. with the Rev. Robert T. Carlson officiating.
