TUCSON, Ariz. – Jon Watson Engvall, who was born Jan. 9, 1938, passed away Oct. 6, 2009, at the University of California, San Diego Medical Center, San Diego, while waiting for a lung transplant. Jon served in the U.S. Air Force and graduated from Northeastern University. An electrical engineer, he spent most of his career in technical sales and retired to Tucson, Ariz., in 2006. As a pilot and aircraft builder, he was an active member of the EAA Chapters No. 106 and No. 196 in Massachusetts. Jon will be greatly missed by his wife, Charlotte Turner Engvall; a daughter, Kirsten Turner; six siblings, nieces and nephews.
