ROCKLAND – Mavis M. Richards, 82, wife of Gerald E. Richards, died Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, at Penobscot Bay Medical Center, Rockport, after a brief illness. Relatives and friends are invited to visit 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27, at Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock St., Rockland. A service in celebration of Mrs. Richards’ life will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at Thomaston Assembly of God, 14 Roxbury St., Thomaston.
