GLENBURN – Our beautiful mother, Roberta “Bert” Blaisdell, 79, died Oct. 29, 2009, at a Brewer health care facility, and has joined her beloved husband, Frank. She was born Dec. 3, 1929, in Brewer, the daughter of James and Hazel (Robinson) Dinsmore. Bert will be remembered most for her love of her husband, Frank, of 49 years. She loved the log cabin Frank built for her and her family. In previous years, she loved to do crossword puzzles, play bingo and spent many wonderful years snowmobiling, camping and boating with friends and family. Bert’s famous blueberry muffins were always enjoyed by friends after an evening of playing cards. Mother’s favorite saying was “one day at a time.” She was an avid Red Sox fan. Bert is survived by her children, Larry Jordan and his wife, Margaret, of Newburgh, Brent Jordan and his wife, Gloria, of China Lake and Brenda Blaisdell and her husband, Doug, of Clifton Park, N.Y.; Frank’s children, Frank Blaisdell and his wife, Linda, of Hermon and Judy Bennett and her husband, Steve, of Navarre, Fla.; brothers, Alton Dinsmore of Steuben and Paul Dinsmore of Mars Hill; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank in 2008; a daughter, Sandy Arsenault in 2007; an infant daughter, Jody; and a sister, Pauline Dinsmore. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with the Rev. Dr. Rex Garrett, director of chaplaincy services at Eastern Maine Medical Center, officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments after the service at Brookings-Smith Family Center, 163 Center St., Bangor.
