MAPLETON – Lois J. Weaver, 76, died Sunday, Nov. 15, 2009, at her home, after a long illness. She was born May 12, 1933, in Mapleton, the daughter of Charles F. and Ella Mae (Archer) Wilson. She worked for Potato Service, Inc., Sampson’s Supermarket and retired from Burrell’s Clipping Service, Presque Isle. Lois and her husband, William, enjoyed traveling coast to coast, as well as into Canada and Mexico. She is survived by her husband, William of Mapleton; two sons and their wives, Michael and Gail Weaver of Lebanon, and Mark and Marie Weaver of New Baltimore, Mich.; a daughter, Ella M. “Cookie” McPherson and her husband, Ricki, of Cushman, Ark.; two sisters, Marilyn Kelly and her husband, H. Dain, of Illinois, and Rosemary Van Nostrand of New York; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Linda Wilson; a brother, Frederick Wilson; and a great-grandson, Brandon Low. The family thanks everyone for their kindness, cards and prayers.
