PERRY – Skip Calder, 51, died unexpectedly Nov. 16, 2009, while doing what he loved to do, clamming on East Bay. He was born June 23, 1958, in Eastport. Skip was employed by the town of Perry for 20 years and then became a self-employed clam digger. Skip was predeceased by his father, Arthur “Pop” Calder; stepfather, Leroy Price; a sister, Gertie Fillios; and good friends, Eva and Steve Lincoln. He is survived by his mother, Marion Price; children, Traci Jamieson and her husband, Adam, and Kristy Harkins and her husband, Jason; brothers, Howard and his wife, Lisa, Stephen “Duke” and his wife, Starr; sisters, Joan Mullen and her husband, Mike, Bette Moore and her husband, Waverly; a brother-in-law, Frank Fillios; grandchildren, Kristina, Katelyn, Addison and Jaycee; an aunt, Agnes Drost; an uncle Bruce Quinn; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends. Visitation will be held 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, at Mays Funeral Home-Flagg Chapel, 72 High St., Eastport, where a memorial service will begin 3 p.m. with Rickey Jamieson officiating.
