CARMEL and WATERVILLE – Carol Ann (Sylvester) White, 59, died peacefully Nov. 25, 2009, at a Bangor hospital, after a long illness. She was born Dec. 16, 1949, in Waterville, daughter of Merlon F. and Christine A. (Caron) Sylvester. Carol enjoyed gardening, camping, volunteering at her grandson’s school, scrapbooking and cooking deserts. She also enjoyed car racing. More than anything, her children were her life. She worked hard at making sure they had a good education to grow from. She was a loving companion, mother, daughter, grandmother and sister, and will be dearly missed. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her life partner, Lee Fletcher; children, Jennifer Fennelly and husband, Craig and their son, Eyan, Ira White and life partner, Jen Winkle, and Gerard White and wife, Misty; sisters, Paulette Chapman and husband, Richard, and Jeannette Tinker and husband, Everett; brothers, Merlon Sylvester Jr. and wife, Naomi, and Fred Sylvester and wife, Kim; a dear cousin, Brenda Cook; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. A service of remembrance will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30, at Church of Christ, 516 Union St., Bangor, with Pastor Owen Beal officiating.
