WHITING – Donald M. Look, 84, died Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009, surrounded by his loving family at his home. He was born July 10, 1925, to Willard and Mary (Wright) Look. Donald, a lifelong resident of Whiting, was the owner of Look’s Canning, Cutler and was a World War II Navy veteran. He was a former member and past president of SAD 77 School Board, was one of the original initiators of getting a hospital in Machias, and was also a Scout Master for Boy Scouts, Katahdin Council. Donald enjoyed his work, traveling, eating and attending food shows for his business. He dearly loved his family and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed playing baseball, especially his catcher position. Survivors include two sons, Jeffrey M. Look and wife, Jeannette, and Leslie O. Look and wife, Deborah, all of Whiting; four daughters, Linda M. Huntley of Whiting, Terry L. Moore and husband, William, Amy L. Prescott and husband, Arthur, all of Machiasport, and Brenda L. Page and husband, Don, of South Berwick; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Donald was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Kathleen; sons, Willard I.
